Aileen. Nigel and the extended Bloomer family would like to thank everyone who supported and sympathised with them following the passing of their much loved father Ivan.
We are deeply grateful to the staff of River House residential home in Newcastle for the outstanding and compassionate care they gave to Dad while he was residing there and especially throughout the last week of his life. Sincere thanks also to Dr Gilpin’s practice for looking after Dad throughout the years, especially the district nurses who were very attentive and dedicated. We would also like to thank the carers from the Trust and also Lydian Care who attended Dad while he was still in his own home.
To all who sent cards and messages, called at the family home, provided food, attended the funeral or made donations in his memory to River House Residents Comfort Fund, please know that your kindness brought great comfort during a very difficult time.
Special thanks to Rev Johnston, who attended Dad faithfully during his final days and for conducting the funeral service with such kindness and sensitivity.
We would also like to thank Dad’s neighbours in Marguerite Court who looked out for him and called with him regularly, especially John, Marian and Briege.
We would also like to thank Adam Annett & Sons for the respectful and personalised way in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.
