Ivy Noleen McDowell (née Williamson) passed away, 3rd November 2023

The family (Sandra, Heloise, Freddie, Clara and Zarach) of the late James Glenn McDowell and his late mother Ivy Noleen McDowell wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who supported them in their recent bereavements.

We would like to thank Rivervale Country Nursing Home in Dunnamore for their excellent and compassionate care for Ivy in her final weeks. We also wish to thank Ivy's carers, who supported and cared for her so lovingly in her home. Sincere thanks to Pastor William Leonard and Reverend Alan Barr for visiting Ivy in her final days.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Reverend John Woods for conducting Glenn's funeral service and Reverend Alan Barr for conducting Ivy's funeral service.

Gratitude to the family doctor, Dr Corry and staff of Carrickmore Health Centre for their care and attention over the years. Additionally, thanks to the PSNI, paramedics and coroner's representative who attended to Glenn in the most respectful manner.

A sincere thank you to J.H. Anderson and Sons Funeral Directors for the professional handling of both Glenn and Ivy's funerals, Barbara Pinkerton (T-Ladies) and Forest View Catering for the funeral teas. We would also like to thank Robin Anderson for playing the bagpipes at Ivy's graveside, the gravediggers for preparing Glenn and Ivy's final resting places, Noel O'Brien, the church warden and the organist for all their work.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our kindhearted friends, neighbours and family who sent sympathy cards, mass cards, attended the funerals and sent donations to Grovehill Animal Sanctuary.

Glenn will be forever missed as a devoted partner, father, grandfather, uncle, son-in-law and friend.

Ivy will be greatly missed as a dear mother in law, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Glenn and Ivy will be profoundly missed.

Have you considered?
