The death has occurred of:
James (Jim) Campbell R.I.P.
We, the family of the late Jim (R.I.P), would like to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during the sad and difficult time of our bereavement. We have been overwhelmed by the support and kindness shown to us by our relatives, friends, neighbours and wider community.
Thank you to everyone who sent cards, flowers and messages through text and social media. To those who helped us prepare for the wake, helped with refreshments and parking, and to those who called into the house and came to the funeral, or viewed it online, we are forever grateful and take comfort from your support.
A special word of thanks to the staff of Knockmoyle Lodge Care Home who cared for dad for the past two and half years, for their support and professionalism, especially in his final days.
Thank you Fr. Michael O'Dwyer for your support and guidance throughout and for the beautiful and meaningful funeral mass which was offered with such respect. Also thank you Fr Sean McCartan PP of Beragh parish for your prayers and calling with the family during the wake.
Thank you Emer and Aoife Duddy and Eugene McGonagle for the beautiful music during the funeral, and the grave diggers who prepared dad’s final resting place.
We would like to thank Donaghy & Montague Funeral Directors for their support and guidance and for the professional and dignified manner in which the wake and funeral arrangements were carried out.
We would also like to thank Canavan’s who provided the buffet after dad's funeral. The shared memories and stories and his legacy will remain with us forever.
As it is impossible to thank everyone personally, we hope you will accept this acknowledgement as a token of our heartfelt gratitude.
Dad will be loved and missed every day and his memory will be forever treasured.
He will always be remembered as a gentleman and a good neighbour. He would have been recognised as the most sociable man in the room, a man who loved music and craic. Above all he was a loving husband to Annie, a devoted father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Jim’s months mind Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 15th May at 7 pm in St Matthew’s Garvaghey
