KEATING JAMES (JIM) died September 24th 2020, peacefully in hospital, late of Nazareth Care Village, formerly Forkhill and Carryduff. Beloved husband of the late Jetta; dearly loved father, grandfather, father-in-law and great grandfather.

Due to Covid 19 all funeral arrangements will take place strictly in accordance with the current guidelines.

James remains will repose at O’Kanes funeral parlour 116-118 Donegal Street until Sunday 27th September. Please contact O’Kanes at 028 90243129 to arrange to visit.

Remains will leave O’Kanes at 4.30 Sunday 27th September arriving at St Patricks Church, Dromintee approximately 6.00pm.

Funeral Mass will take place Monday 28th September at 11.00am; streaming of the Requiem Mass will be on the destination Newry facebook page (Link below). Burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral will be limited to family and close friends only.

Oh no, this hateful year :( The Master' was my hero, as a child I worshipped the ground he walked on, amazing teacher, inspiration and what he and Mrs Keating both did was so above and beyond what anyone could be expected to do, deepest sympathies to Mary, Eugene, Margaret and Paula :(. It was a privilege to know him, we were so lucky to have him in our lives. (he also was a Gaelgeoir when no one else was around here, I'm sure he was delighted with the success of Irish language schools etc now, he was the first, he is my inspiration and the reason I am working in a Naíscoil, carrying on the love of the language). RIP, with love
