Died 3rd January 2022

Jimmy passed away on the 3rd of January, a widely respected and much-loved cousin and friend to many, who is sadly missed by Michael and Tommy Shields and all of the Mulligan and Grimes families.
We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those
who sympathised and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Our thanks to those who telephoned, who sent Mass or sympathy cards and to those who left messages online or via social media. Our thanks also to those who attended when Jimmy’s remains were received in St. Joseph’s Church, Coonian or who joined us at the Mass or via the webcam.
A special word of thanks to Father Brendan Gallagher for his spiritual support and the comforting Requiem Mass and to Father Raymond Donnelly for his spiritual support. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially Louise Coyle who provided the beautiful music. Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the sensitive and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the grave digger for preparing Jimmy’s final resting place.
We are most grateful to all the doctors and nurses in the South-West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen who cared so well for Jimmy and to the carers who looked after Jimmy with great dedication. Your excellent care, professional support, warmth, and diligence will never be forgotten.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
Jimmy’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph’s Church, Coonian on Sunday 13th February at 10am and may also be viewed via the via the following link: https://www.facebook.com/pg/Aghavea-Aughintaine-Parish-1479644742266407/about/.
