The family of the late James (Jimmy) Sloane of Warrenpoint, and formerly of Moneyscalp, would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to family, friends, colleagues and neighbours for their sympathy, comfort and support during this sad time of our bereavement.

We thank all those who sent floral tributes, cards and messages of condolences and made charitable donations.

We thank Canon Kearney for his spiritual support for Jimmy during his illness and to our family following our sad loss. We especially thank him for the reverent requiem mass to celebrate the life of Jimmy.

A special thank you for the professionalism and compassion of all the staff, both in the community and in Daisy Hill Hospital, Dr’s Barrett, Magennis and Grant and the reception team in Cornmarket Surgery in Newry, and the staff of Gordon’s Chemist in Warrenpoint.

We thank Sawey’s Funeral Directors in Newcastle for assisting our family and for the funeral arrangements.

We thank the staff and pupils of St Mary’s Primary School in Banbridge for the guard of honour tribute.

To everyone, your contribution and acts of kindness made the loss of Jimmy, a cherished husband, father, grand father and great grandfather, more bearable. For this, we are truly grateful.

Jimmy’s months mind will be celebrated in The Church of Our Lady of Assumption in Newcastle on Sunday 23rd October at 1130am.
