Jamie Fleming

We’ve always known what Jamie meant to us, but this past week has shown us what he meant to everyone else.

As a family, we honestly don’t have the words to thank everyone who has supported us over the last week.

To everyone who called at our home, sent cards, messages, flowers, dropped off food, made a phone call, shared a memory or simply let us know you were thinking of us – thank you. Every act of kindness helped carry us through days we never imagined we’d have to face.

To everyone who came to Jamie’s funeral, thank you for giving him the send-off he deserved. Seeing so many people there, with some sadly unable to get inside the crematorium, was both heartbreaking and incredibly comforting. It spoke volumes about the life Jamie lived and the people whose lives he became part of.

The stories we’ve heard this week have made us laugh just as much as they’ve made us cry. It seems everyone has a Jamie story… and somehow every one of them ends with laughter, a daft idea, or him convincing someone that his plan was definitely the best one.

That’s exactly how we’ll remember him.

To everyone who helped in ways big and small, whether your name was known or not, thank you. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Jamie packed more into 26 years than many people do in a lifetime. He leaves behind memories that will be talked about for years, friendships that will never fade and a family who couldn’t be prouder to call him ours.

The support you’ve shown us has been overwhelming. Thank you for standing with us, for celebrating Jamie, and for reminding us just how well loved he really was.
