Jeanetta (Etta) Barfoot (née Barclay)
(3rd May 1932 – 12th March 2022)
The family of the late Etta Barfoot, of 39, Longfield Road, Desertmartin, wish to acknowledge and express their sincere thanks to all the kind relatives, friends & neighbours for the sympathies and kindness shown to them following their recent bereavement. Those who called at the home, brought food, telephoned, sent beautiful text messages, sent cards, attended the funeral or helped and supported us in any way. Special Thanks to Dr Hunter and staff at Fairhill Medical Centre, Doctors and staff at Antrim Area Hospital, the Community District Nursing Team, the staff at McGlaughlin’s Pharmacy and to all Carers for their dedicated care, love and attention to Etta’s needs during her short illness. A very special word of thanks to Rev David Leach, Mr David Bingham for their Pastoral Care to Etta, during her latter years and short illness. To Rev John Martin, Rev Norman McAuley and Mr Lloyd Watson (BCM) for conducting and sharing in the Church Service, and also to Mr James Strange and Mrs Lynda Lindsay for their assistance, as Organist and Pianist at the Special Service of Thanksgiving for Etta’s life held on 16th March. Our sincere thanks to Mr Jordan Kennedy and staff at Garvin’s Funeral Service for the caring and dignified manner in which they carried out the funeral arrangements. We really appreciate the thoughtfulness of all who gave donations in lieu of flowers to Spinal Injuries Association and Belfast City Mission, two of Etta’s supported chosen charities. As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all, as a token of our very sincere appreciation.
