Winnie and the family of the late Jim McGlone, who passed away on 5th July 2025, would like to share our sincere thanks to everyone who sympathised with us during our recent bereavement. Thank you to everyone who called during the wake and afterwards and to those who sent mass cards, sympathy cards, messages and flowers. It was of great comfort to us to hear your tributes, fond memories of how our beloved partner, father, grandfather and brother touched the lives of others. Thank you to all who brought food to the wake house.

We would like to thank the carers at Southern Trust Domiciliary, Ann’s home care, Rutledge, Marie Curie, Evora Hospice Newry and the district care team who cared for Jim. Thank you to the staff and doctors at Stewartstown Health centre and all the staff at Donnelly and McAleer Chemist Coalisland. A special word of thanks to Marie for the care and attention she gave to Jim. We will be forever grateful to you.

Thank you to Patsy, Sinead and Edel at Taggart Funeral Services for their guidance and for carrying out the funeral duties in a professional and dignified manner.

Thank you to everyone who attended Jim’s funeral and participated in any way. Thanks to Fr Eugene O’Neill for his support and guidance and for the beautiful Requiem Mass and a word of thanks to the Sacristan and the gravedigger for your services. Thank you to Coalisland Na Fianna Club for the chairs, delph, boiler and food. Thank you to the Tavern Stewartstown for the refreshments after the funeral and to Sylvia, Cora-Jayne, Rachel and Katie for serving the food.

Sincere thanks to Siobhan Robinson for the beautiful music.

Thank you to John and Jane McGlone for travelling from England to be with us. Thank you also to Tanya, Richard, Paula, Garry and Ashley for all your help and support throughout Jim’s illness and the wake.
