The family of the late Jimmy McCann wish to express our gratitude to those who supported us through his illness and death.

Thanks are due to our extended family, neighbours and community who have sympathised and helped during this period . We are forever grateful to all who attended the wake and funeral, sent letters, mass cards and sympathy cards, those who have visited to express condolences and all who donated so generously to St John's Hospice, Newry.

We are truly grateful to all involved in providing food and refreshments including The Doorstep and Mill Court and to those who helped with hospitality during the wake and funeral, including Eoghan Ruadh Hurling Club for providing tea facilities and other items.

A huge thank you to all those who looked after Jimmy during his illness in particular the staff in the Mandeville Unit in Craigavon Area Hospital, Banbridge Polyclinic, South Tyrone Hosptial and the Cancer Centre in the RVH. A special and heartfelt thanks is offered to every staff member in St John's Hospice, Newry who supported Jimmy and the family in his final days with exemplary care and dedication. Thank you also to all the staff at Ardmore surgery, pharmacist Michael Dorman and staff , the district and Macmillan nurses who provided invaluable support and care as well as the carers who provided support in the mornings and evenings.

Our sincere gratitude to Canon Benny Fee for the beautiful and personal funeral mass. Also, thanks to Fr Eugene O'Neill for his support and prayers throughout Jimmy's illness.and Sister Fiona for her guidance in the hospice. Thank you also to Roisin McGlinchey and Malachy Quinn for the music during the funeral and to those who took part in the mass. especially those who braved the conditions to travel.

Thank are also due to Peter Devlin of Michael Dorman and Son undertakers for the professional and dignified manner in which they carried out their duties and to the Grave Diggers and Sacristan.

While we are unable to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our deepest gratitude and know your support was gratefully recieved.

Jimmy's Months Mind Mass will be held on Monday 4th March 2024 at 7.30pm in St Mary & St Joseph’s Church, Brackaville, Coalisland.
