We the family of the late Joan McKinney, would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who, prayed for and supported us through our recent bereavement. Joan was a much loved sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend and is sorely missed.
We would like to thank all the health care professionals who helped with Joan’s care both in hospital and at home. Sincere thanks to the Pallative Care Team, The District Nurses and Marie Curie Nurses who provided Joan with such exceptional care and supported us throughout Joan’s illness. We are extremely grateful for the warmth and kindness shown to Joan.

Thanks to Dr McCavert and Dr Motherwell who called at the house. Thanks to Fr Kevin McElhennon and Fr Declan McGeehan who attended Joan during her illness and a special thanks to Fr Declan for a beautiful and meaningful funeral mass. Thanks to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the liturgy. A special thanks to Gerarda McCann and Bernie for the beautiful and inspiring music and singing. Heartfelt thanks to all our family, friends and kind neighbours, to all who helped and assisted us at the wake, to all who attended the wake, the funeral service, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards and letters and to those who provided us with food. Thank you to St Mary’s PS Killyclogher, Christ the King PS and Strathroy Dairy for organising the guard of honour, it was greatly appreciated.

Special thanks to undertakers Jay Maguire and Jacqui for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and for all the and support they gave to us. We thank the gravediggers for preparing Joan’s final resting place. Thanks to the Village Inn for providing refreshments after the funeral. As It Is impossible to thank everyone, please accept this as an acknowledgement of our sincere appreciation to anyone who provided support in any way.

Joan's Month's Mind will take place on Tuesday 13th May at 7.30pm in Christ the King Church, Strathroy.
