We the family of the late Joe O’Kane wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised and supported us during the recent sudden bereavement of Joe.

Our sincere thanks to all family, friends (Martin, Nigel, Brian, Ciaran & Dessie) neighbours, colleagues and the wider community who have helped in countless ways during this sad time.

Thanks to all who organised and helped at the wake, including those individuals who brought or sent food, provided catering, lighting, marquee co-ordinated traffic and transportation. Thanks to those who attended the wake, sent letters, Mass cards, Sympathy cards, social media messages and floral tributes, we are overwhelmed by your support.

A truly heartfelt word of thanks and appreciation to all who carefully and respectfully attended Joe at the sudden death for all their efforts from colleagues, paramedic teams, NI Air Ambulance, family members & Fr Sean O’Donnell Melmount P.P.

Thanks to Joes friends who touchingly accompanied the Funeral cortege. The many representatives in the Guard of Honour at the Chapel a fitting tribute that he would have loved. Thanks to everyone who lined the funeral route to the Chapel, To all those who attended the funeral mass, we are truly grateful.

Special appreciation to Fr Donnelly P.P. for his spiritual support and pastoral care which continues to give us strength during this sad and difficult time. Thanks for the beautiful Requiem Mass and the fitting tribute paid to Joe.

Thanks to the Sacristan Paula, grave diggers and musician Fidelma Legg for the beautiful and touching music and singing during the funeral that provided such a memorable farewell. Thanks to Cranagh Hall for the beautiful refreshments.

We would also like to thank all at WJ O'Brien & Son funeral directors, Eglinton, for the dignity and respect that was shown throughout the wake and funeral.

We have been humbly touched by the wonderful support we have continued to receive from family, friends and neighbours since Joe’s funeral, we are truly blessed and grateful.

As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually who has been so supportive since Joe’s passing, we trust that our acknowledgement will express our sincere appreciation and everlasting gratitude to all of you. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Finally, to a much loved husband, father, brother, uncle, godfather, nephew, cousin, friend and colleague we have been blessed to have had you in our lives, we thank you for the love, laughter and memories you leave behind.

Joe’s months mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Cranagh on 6th June @ 7.30pm.

Your life touched so many and will be remembered forever more.
