John Gerard "Gerry" TONER

TONER John Gerard, "Gerry" Toner of Garden City, NY died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on August 30, 2017. Beloved husband of 54 years to Cathy Toner (nee Crosbie). Father of Gemma Toner, Catherine Parker and Patricia Bauer, father-in-law to Howard Szarfarc, James Parker III and Michael Bauer. Adoring grandfather of Abigail, Jonathan, Colin and Isabel. Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he lived a full life of 84 years. He brought Irish hospitality and music to New York as the founder of New York's famous Irish pubs. Known for his generosity and wit, he will be missed by many.

Visiting Tuesday 2.00pm-4.00pm and 7.00pm-9.00pm at Fairchild Funeral Home, Garden City, NY. Mass of Christian burial, Wednesday at 10.00am at The Church of St Joseph, Garden City, NY. Interment at Holy Rood Cemetery.
