We, the family of John Curtin, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to our family, friends, neighbours, and the wider community who supported us during our very sad bereavement.
We extend our sincere thanks to all who attended the wake and funeral, and to those who sent Mass cards, text messages, and online messages of sympathy. Your kindness and support have been a great comfort to us.
We are deeply grateful to the doctors, nurses, and all the staff of Ward 40, Altnagelvin Stroke Unit, for the care and compassion shown to Johnny. Our thanks also to Patrick McGrellis Funeral Directors for the professional, caring, and dignified manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out.
A special word of thanks to Fr. Dermot McGirr for his support and guidance, and for celebrating the Requiem Mass, which was a beautiful tribute to Johnny. To Margaret Carton for her help.
We would also like to thank Martin & Brennan O’Kane and Erin O’Brien for the beautiful music, DJ and staff at Notorious for the food provided during the wake and after the funeral. Thanks to Joanne, Marie Clare, and Ramona for their help in the community centre.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our deepest appreciation for all the kindness and support shown to us during this very difficult time.
Johnny will be remembered at Mass this weekend.
