The death has occurred of:
John DONNELLY
The wife, son and daughters of the late John Donnelly, Cookstown (formerly Limehill, Pomeroy), wish to express our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all our kind relatives, friends and neighbours who supported us during our recent bereavement.
Our sincere gratitude to Fr. Hughes and Fr. Slater for their spiritual support and guidance, and to Fr. Hughes for celebrating the Requiem Mass.
A special word of thanks to Gerry Loughran, Emer McCrory and Ailish McGeown for providing the music which made John’s Funeral Mass so special, and to Joseph Mary Plunkett Accordion Band, Pomeroy for their poignant guard of honour and graveside music.
The family would like to thank everyone who helped care for John, especially the Doctors, nurses and staff at Loy Medical Practice and to the staff of Craigavon Area Hospital and Allen’s Pharmacy.
We are indebted to all those who supported our family, called to our home, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, letters, messages, wreaths, floral tributes, and expressed their condolences via telephone and social media. We took great comfort on the morning of the funeral from the support of everyone who joined the funeral cortege from our home, joined us at the Chapel, and viewed John’s funeral Mass online.
A special word of thanks to the gravediggers who prepared John’s resting place with great care and to all those who helped us in any way.
We would sincerely like to thank Colleen from Niall A Loughran funeral directors for the very efficient, dignified and professional manner in which she carried out all the funeral arrangements during these difficult times.
Special thanks also to those who donated most generously in lieu of flowers to Chest, Heart and Stroke NI.
It is not possible to thank everyone individually, but we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a small gesture of our sincere appreciation. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
John’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 2nd June 2022 at 7:30pm in St Mary’s Church, Dunnamore and can be viewed on the link below:
