John Madden

Madden, John James. Passed away peacefully at Leabank Nursing Home Ballycastle, on Monday February 23rd, 2015, in his 88th year. Loving husband of 63 years of Margaret (nee Finn). Beloved father of Rita, Paul, Angela and John. Proud grandfather of Curtis, Naomi, Brunelle, Moyra Mae, Sean and Cameron. Great-Grandfather of Tessa and Terrelle. Survived by his sister Eileen Montgomery and predeceased his brother James and sister Julie. Son of the late Denis and Cecilia Madden. John was born on May 17th, 1926 in County Tipperary. He moved to Coventry, England in 1950’s until he retired to Ballycastle in 2001. Friends may call at the Dallats Funeral Home, Ballycastle on request (tel:028 2076 9000). Family and close friends funeral service in St. Patrick’s and St. Brigids Church on Thursday 26th February at 12:00 noon. Followed by interment at Ballycastle Cemetery. Special thanks to the caring staff at the Dalriada Hospital and Leabank Nursing Home. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Red Cross.
