We, the family of the late John McCann wish to express our appreciation and heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported and sympathised with us following the loss of our dearly loved Husband (Kate RIP), Father, Grandad, Brother, Uncle, Brother in law and great friend.

Our sincere thanks to everyone who attended the wake or funeral, sent Mass, sympathy cards or messages, prayed for John during his short illness, phoned, called or provided emotional and practical support for us during this difficult time.

A special word of gratitude is extended to all our close family, friends and neighbours for your invaluable help, kindness and support in preparing everything before and during the wake. We will be forever grateful.

A special word of thanks to Canon Benny Fee and Fr John McCallion for the support they provided to Daddy and us as a family during his time in hospital, and to the Canon for saying the touching Requiem Mass, it fully honoured the man Daddy was and for always being able to bring a smile during difficult and sad times. Also to Fr Peter Donnelly who attended the Mass and provided support to Teresa and family in Ballinderry. Also to the Gribben sisters for their beautiful singing and to all who participated at the funeral mass.

A special word of thanks to the staff of Craigavon Area Hospital who from the time Daddy was admitted to his sad passing provided unwavering medical care, kindness and compassion. Especially the staff of Wards 2 North Respiratory and 2 South Stroke, you are angels walking among us and we will be forever grateful for everything you done for Daddy during his time with you.

Thank you also to Patsy Taggart, Funeral Director for the professional and supportive manner in which you carried out the arrangements from wake to funeral. Thank you to the gravediggers and Margaret Taggart who assisted preparations for the Mass. Thanks to Kelly Anne and Sean Corr and catering team for the lovely refreshments afterwards at the Washingbay Centre.

A massive thank you to Derrylaughan Kevin Barrys GFC, Chairman, Committee, Members and Supporters for everything you done for us as a family. From taking Daddy home and the lovely reception he received at his beloved DKB, to everything you done with Guards of Honour, during the wake and with all preparations for his funeral. Daddy loved DKB and when he and our family needed the Club most, you all came out in force for him and us and this is something that we will never ever forget.

We hope you can all accept this acknowledgement as a sincere appreciation of all the kindness we were shown as a family over the past few weeks.

Johns Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patricks Church, Clonoe on Tuesday 12th March at 7.30pm.
