Died 3rd February 2023.

John passed away on the 3rd of February 2023. A widely respected, hard working family man and much loved father, father in law, grandfather, brother, brother in law, uncle and friend.
We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.
We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who called to the family home, telephoned, sent Mass or sympathy cards, or flowers and to those who left messages online or via social media.
Thanks to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Mass or via the webcam. Sincere thanks to our family, friends and neighbours who supported us in so many ways and helped us to grieve as a family.
A special word of thanks to Father Padraig MacKenna PP and Canon John McKenna PE for their spiritual support over the years and for the comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who assisted with the Mass, especially our musicians; singer Siobhan McAuley, and organist Noelle Toner who provided the beautiful uplifting music.
Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. Our thanks also to the grave digger for preparing John’s final resting place, and to all the staff at Mahon’s Hotel for the welcome refreshments after the burial.
We would also like to thank John’s carers Anne McLauglin and Isobel Magee and all the staff of the Coronary Care Unit and the A & E Department at the South-West Acute Hospital, for their excellent level of care and attention to John during his illness.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.
John’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Macartan’s Church, Trillick on Saturday 11th March at 8pm. Our Lady pray for him.
