John McGEE

The family of the late John McGee wish to offer their heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to all who supported them during their recent bereavement. To those who called to the house, attended the wake or funeral, sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, telephone messages, flowers, or helped in any way, your kindness and support have been a tremendous comfort to us as we mourn the loss of John.

We extend our sincere gratitude to the paramedics and police who attended the house, and to Johnny Kelly, Firtrees, for kindly providing soup and sandwiches for the wake and funeral. Our thanks also to Johnny and Dee at Parkland for the sandwiches and soup served throughout the wake, and to Woodmount Nursing Home for their generosity and care, for which we cannot thank them enough.

Heartfelt appreciation is extended to Charlie Lynch Funeral Directors for their professionalism, compassion, and attention to even the smallest details, and for the utmost respect shown throughout John’s final journey. We would also like to thank Father Sean for the beautiful Funeral Mass, and Orla Furry and Noel McGinley for the wonderful music which added so much to the service.

Special thanks are offered to Sean, Seamus and Mark for their valued help and support during this time. To all extended family, friends, neighbours, and members of the community who prepared food, helped at the family home, stood outside to pay respects, or assisted in any way, please accept this acknowledgement as a token of our sincere appreciation, as it is impossible to thank everyone individually.

John’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary’s Chapel, Melmount on 17 January at 7pm. All are welcome.
