Joseph (Joe) BEGGS

We, the family of the late Joseph (Joe) Beggs wish to convey our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported and sympathised with us on our recent bereavement of a much-loved husband, father, father- in- law and grandfather.

We have been deeply touched and comforted by the many callers to our family home, the number of cards, messages and donations received.

We will be forever indebted to everyone who helped to make and serve refreshments in the family home over the time of the wake and to those who made and delivered food for the family at this time, your thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated by us all.

We are most grateful for the respectful and supportive manner in which the District Nursing Teams in Stewartstown/ Cookstown and Melissa cared for Joe during the course of his illness. Thanks, must also go to the staff and Doctor’s in Campbell Surgery, the staff in Gordon’s Chemist, Scotch Street and Dalriada out of hours service for their support when required.

We also wish to thank the members of Carland Presbyterian Church and the wider church circle who have supported the family spiritually, your prayers and visits have sustained us during Joe’s illness and death. Thank you to everyone who helped set up the church, assisted with carparking or helped in any way at the time of the funeral. This was greatly appreciated by visitors to the church.

Thank you to the Rev. O’Neill for his pastoral care to Joe and ourselves over this past year and particular thanks for a fitting and uplifting service of thanksgiving. Thank you to Grace for the beautiful music played at the service and thanks to Eunice Cuddy for the beautiful, seasonal arrangements for the church and grave. A sincere thank you to the ladies of the PW for the delicious tea they prepared and served after the service. Thank you to Scott McKay, Piper, for his fitting musical tribute at the graveside.

Finally, our sincere thanks to Fred Martin and Sons, Funeral Directors for carrying out the funeral arrangements with dignity and professionalism and to those who prepared Joe’s final resting place.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our heartfelt appreciation.

Dearly loved and sadly missed by Joan and Family.
