The death has occurred of:
Josephine HUGHES (née McCann)
The daughter Martina, son Kevin together with their spouses, grandsons and granddaughter would like to express sincere thanks to all our family, friends, neighbours work colleagues and Mummy’s many friends who have supported us following our recent bereavement of our dearly beloved Mummy.
We would like to thank all who attended the wake and funeral sent mass cards, sympathy cards sent text messages or left messages of comfort on the funeral times. Each one meant so much to us at this sad time.
We also wish to thank the kind individuals who brought gifts of food to the wake. To the very hardworking ladies in the kitchen who provided tea and refreshments for everyone coming to our Mummy’s home.
We wish to express our grateful thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of Craigavon Area Hospital who cared for mummy over the years with such respect and dignity.
To the doctors, nurses and all the staff of Moy Health Centre who was always there for mummy.
To the several carers who called everyday with mummy we will be forever grateful for all you did and indeed so many of you went way and beyond your duties.
To the wonderful neighbours who were there every day keeping a watchful eye on mummy no words can describe what this meant to us.
To Fr Thomas McHugh for all his spiritual guidance, his beautiful Mass, very personal homily, prayers and kind words to everyone was a great source of comfort at a very difficult time.
To all who participated in mummy’s beautiful requiem Mass. Aodhan’s welcoming words, the readers, those who offered prayers of the faithful, brought symbols to the altar representing mummy’s life, Eucharist ministers and Eoghan’s after Communion reflection. You all enhanced Mummy’s funeral mass.
In particular we wish to thank Damian Cullen on keyboards and Janette for your beautiful music and fantastic singing. We also want to thank Janette’s daughter Niamh who sang Mummy’s very favourite special song “You are my sunshine” The perfect recessional to the Mass.
We wish to thank Suzanne and the staff of the Ryandale who provided the lunch after the funeral for the excellent catering and warm hospitality.
We would like to express our gratitude to Benny (snr) Benny ( jnr) and Jackie from BJ Martin funeral directors for their compassion guidance and professionalism during our extremely difficult time.
As it is impossible to thank everyone individually we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere gratitude.
Josephine’s month’s mind Mass will be celebrated on Saturday 19th July at 2.00pm in St John’s Church Moy .
