Josephine Mason

The family of the late Josephine Mason wish to express their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to all those who extended their support and sympathy following our recent loss. We are deeply appreciative of the generosity shown by all who visited our home, sent Mass cards or sympathy cards, left donations in lieu of flowers, attended the service in Eglish Chapel for her overnight repose and all who attended her Requiem Mass or joined via the parish webcam.

Special thanks to our extended family circle who helped to care for Josephine at home and gave her incredible support during her short illness. This was a great comfort to her, we will be forever grateful for the hours you spent with her and the kindness that you showed to her during the last few months of her life. Sincere thanks to the fabulous team at Tynan surgery, the care team, the respiratory team, district nurses and Marie Curie nurses, who did everything possible to keep Josephine comfortable and pain free right up to her time of death.

A heartfelt thanks to Fr Heagney for his regular home visits and the beautiful Requiem Mass where he spoke so kindly of Josephine. Many thanks also to Pat Treanor and Leanne Daly for providing the lovely music at the ceremony. Also many thanks to Aidan and Michael, the gravediggers, and Dermot, the sacristan for their services.

A special word of thanks to Paudge Quinn, Funeral Director, for the dignified, professional and sympathetic manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out. This made everything so much easier for us at such a tough time. Thanks to all the staff at Quinn’s Corner for the excellent food and refreshments after the Funeral Mass.

It is impossible to thank everyone individually but we hope that this acknowledgment expresses our sincere gratitude for all of the kindness and support that we have received.

Josephine’s Months Mind Mass will take place on Friday 25th April at St Patrick’s Church, Eglish at 7.30pm.
