Karen’s husband, Terry, son Terry and daughters Sharon and Sinead would like to express our appreciation to everyone who sympathised with us in our recent bereavement. We would like to thank the large numbers who attended our house, removal and funeral, especially those who travelled long distances to be with us. Thank you to all those who stood along the route as Karen’s remains were brought to the church. We thank all those who contributed to ‘Chest, Heart and Stroke N.I.’ in lieu of flowers. We are grateful for the thoughtful words of condolences, messages and cards we received. Our heartfelt thanks to all our family, friends and neighbours who helped at our home, to those who provided us with food, refreshments and supported us through this difficult time.
Our sincere thanks to Drs.Treacy and Sweeney and all The Team at Cuilcagh Medical Practice for their professional care and kindness to Karen over the years. A special word of thanks to all the District Nurses and Carers, especially Emily, for all your efforts, your time and dedication. A particular word of thanks to Niall and the entire team at Belcoo Pharmacy for your constant help and support. Thank you to The staff at St. Michael’s College for visiting and supporting Rian and Killian, it is much appreciated.
We extend our deepest gratitude to Fr. Seamus Quinn for visiting Karen, giving her peace and comfort in her final hours and for receiving her remains at the church. Also a sincere thank you to Fr. Niall Martin for celebrating Karen’s funeral mass which was a fitting tribute to her life and faith. Thank you to Fr. Brian D’Arcy for visiting our home. Also a word of thanks to Margaret Maguire at The Parish Office for her help.
We would like to thank Amy McNulty for playing lovely pieces at the removal and to Jacqui Maguire for the beautiful music at the funeral. Thank you to Mary Corrigan who brought Holy Communion to Karen each week and for serving as a Eucharistic Minister at the funeral.
A special word of thanks and appreciation to those who formed guards of honour at Karen’s removal namely Belcoo GFC, OMG Running Club and Garrison Lough Melvin Anglers. To Paschal Conway and Nigel Sweeney, Funeral Directors thank you for your professionalism, support and comfort while carrying out the funeral arrangements and also to those who prepared Karen’s final resting place.
Thank you to the car park attendants both at our home and at the church, to Bernard Feeley for his support, to Mullaghdun Community Centre Committee and to Blacklion Golf Club for preparing and serving the refreshments after the Funeral Mass.
We hope this acknowledgment will be accepted as an expression of our deepest gratitude and most sincere appreciation to every person who supported and helped us in any way.
Karen’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph’s Church, Mullaghdun on Sunday 15th of June at 11am.
