McCormick – Loughgiel

The family of the late Kathleen McCormick and her dear friend David, wish to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised with them in their recent sad bereavement.

A special thanks to Fr Patsy Mulholland P.P. for his spiritual support and pastoral care to Kathleen. The family wish to convey appreciation for his tribute to her in his homily and for the manner in which he organised and celebrated the beautiful Requiem Mass and to the altar servers who carried out their role with reverence.

Our thanks to Dora and Deirdre for providing the beautiful music, to the church sacristan, the gravedigger for preparing the grave, the millennium Centre for allowing us to use their facilities and Sinead for providing the beautiful food afterwards.

We wish to show appreciation to the relatives, friends, neighbours and members of the wider community who have supported us during this difficult time. To those who messaged, telephoned, called at the house, sent cards, gave donations, gathered along the route to the Church and attended the funeral, we are truly grateful.

Sincere appreciation and thanks to Kathleen’s carers and to the staff of Frocess Medical Centre and Pharmacy for their care, kindness and dedication over the last number of years, to the staff of Dalriada and Robinson hospitals and the Altnagelvin and Causeway hospitals who treated Kathleen in her final days.

The family would also like to express their gratitude to McKiernan and Sons, Funeral Directors, especially Michael Óg, for the professional, compassionate and dedicated manner in which they carried out and guided them through all aspects of the funeral arrangements. We are truly grateful for your personal attention.

While it is not possible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere gratitude for all the support, kindness and compassion shown to us during this sad time.

The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

The month's mind Mass for Kathleen will be celebrated on Saturday 15th February at 7.30pm in St Patrick’s Church, Loughguile. (Mass can be viewed on the parish webcam mcn.live/Camera/st-patricks-loughguile)
