We, the family of the late Kathleen Ryan would like to express our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who sympathised and supported us during our recent bereavement. Kathleen passed away peacefully at home after a long fight with Alzheimer’s disease, on the 6th of July 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

We are grateful to all those who helped us through this difficult time. A special thank you to the District Nurse team and the Marie Curie Nurses and sitters, who in Kathleen’s last week helped her family to nurse her with dignity and grace. We also would like to thank Stewartstown Doctor Surgery and Extra Care for all their help in looking after Kathleen throughout the years of her illness.

A special thank you to all the carers who helped look after Kathleen and helped make it possible for her to remain at home throughout her illness, especially her carer Marsha, who was a vital part of Kathleen’s care.

To our extended family, friends and neighbours, your presence at the wake and funeral, your kind words, prayers and gestures of sympathy meant so much.

We would like to thank Lavery’s Funeral Directors for their compassion and dignified handling of all the arrangements, along with the grave diggers. A special thank you to Margaret Anne Conlon and co for the beautiful music. Special thanks to Kinturk Hall for hosting and supplying the food after the burial.

A special word of thanks to Fr Tremer who called and prayed with Kathleen weekly, and then daily over the last couple of years. Thank you for the beautiful ceremony on the day of the funeral, this was something that brought great comfort to Kathleens family.

Kathleen will be sadly missed by her sons, daughters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nieces and nephews and the wider community.

As it is impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a sincere appreciation of our gratitude to all.

Kathleens Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Blessed Sacrament, Ardboe on Saturday the 9th of August 6pm.

She Is Not Lost
She is not lost, our dearest love, nor has she travelled far, just stepped inside
Homes loveliest room and left the door ajar.
