Month’s Mind Acknowledgement for the late Kevin Agnew.

Catherine, the wife of the late Kevin Agnew wishes to express her heartfelt thanks to all who supported her in her recent bereavement.

My deepest thanks to the family circle who were invaluable in arranging the wake and funeral, preparing the home, the refreshments, meeting and greeting friends, neighbours and relatives so everyone felt welcome.
Thanks to all who attended, sent sympathy messages, cards, flowers, food and helped out in so many ways.

Deep gratitude to Fr. Jim Crudden for his visit to Kevin and for the celebration of the Requiem mass and his moving tribute in the homily recalling Kevin's life. The beautiful singing by Kayleigh McPolin added special comfort to the occasion.
A very special thank you to the St. Vincent de Paul conference for their impressive guard of honour for Kevin who as a former member was devoted to their work.

Warm thanks to Golf Links House for the welcome meal in a beautiful setting following the funeral and for the generous provision of food and help during the wake.

Sincere appreciation to Eugene, Dympna and Paul of Peter Doran Funeral Undertakers for their sensitive and meticulous care in conducting a professional service for Kevin from home to interment. Their reassurance and competence at each stage was such a comfort at this sad time.

Heartfelt gratitude to Dr Hyland and Dr Denvir and all at Causeway Surgery for years of dedicated expertise in caring for Kevin's medical needs and providing support for myself. They co-ordinated a wide range of health professionals including the District Nursing teams, Hospital at Home, physio and occupational therapists, Marie Curie and Hospice carers and the Care Managers who all administered Kevin's care with the utmost skill and sensitivity.

A huge thank you to Lydian Care who organised an incomparable team of carers to provide daily personal care to Kevin along with encouragement, understanding and kindness . Their sensitive and faithful management enabled Kevin to remain with me in our own home throughout.

Kevin enjoyed several years at Bardan Cottage Day Care where management and staff took a great interest in his welfare providing care, craft and fun. We are so grateful for their encouragement and kindness.

Thank you to all who supported myself and Kevin in so many other ways over the years and at present. A Mass will be offered for your intentions.

Kevin's Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in the Church of the Assumption, Newcastle this coming Saturday August 1st at 6pm.
