The death has occurred of:
Kevin Doherty (Dunloy & Rasharkin)
Doherty - Dunloy & Rasharkin
Bernie, Christine, Paul, Helen and the extended Doherty family wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us and shared in our grief following the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, granda, brother, father-in-law, nephew, uncle, cousin and friend Kevin.
We are deeply grateful to the many relatives, friends, neighbours and colleagues who supported us, visited our home and shared cherished memories and stories. Your kindness, presence and comforting words brought us strength and solace during this most difficult time.
A sincere thank you to those who managed parking, provided food, made tea and showed many thoughtful gestures of care. Your generosity and quiet support meant more to us than words can express.
We extend our gratitude to all who attended the Funeral Mass in Dunloy and attended the burial in Rasharkin, sent Mass cards, made donations and offered messages of sympathy. Your prayers and continued support have been a great comfort to our family.
A special word of thanks to Father Tony Devlin P.P. for his guidance and compassion throughout this time and for celebrating such a meaningful Mass. Thank you to Fr Blayney, Fr McCamphill and Fr Gilmore for concelebrating Kevin’s funeral Mass.
Thanks to the Gribbin Girls for the beautiful music and to Kieran Convery for the instrumentals during the Mass and at the graveside.
Thanks to Fionnuala McGuckian and staff for proving refreshments after the funeral, St Olcan’s Parish Committee for use of their facilities, and to Wishy Drain who prepared the grave.
Sincere appreciation to the staff of Kilrea Health Centre, Kennedy’s Pharmacy Dunloy, Causeway and Altnagelvin Hospitals for their care and support during Kevin’s illness. A special word of thanks to the District Nursing Team in Cloughmills for their dedication and attention while Kevin was recovering at home.
The family would also like to express their gratitude to McKiernan & Sons, Funeral Directors, especially Michael Óg, for the professional, compassionate and dedicated manner in which they carried out and guided us through all aspects of the funeral arrangements. We are truly grateful for your personal attention during a very difficult time.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our sincere appreciation and gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for all your intentions.
The Month’s Mind Mass for Kevin will be celebrated on Sunday 8th March at 10:30am in St Joseph’s Church, Dunloy.
