Acknowledgement

On behalf of our family, we would like to express our sincere gratitude and heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us following the death of our beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, auntie, niece and cousin, Laura.

We would like to thank everyone who called to the family home during the wake and throughout the week, offering assistance and helping in any way. We thank those who travelled to be with us, attended the funeral, sent cards, messages and flowers.

A special thank you to all those who kindly made donations to Parents and Friends of Glenside Community in Laura’s memory.

We deeply appreciate the prayers, support and kindness shown to us during this difficult time.

A special word of thanks to Fr Séan O’Donnell, Fr Michael Doherty, Fr Declan Boland and Fr Patsy Atkinson for attending the house. Their presence was a great comfort to us and is deeply appreciated.

Thank you to our relatives, friends and neighbours who brought food and helped throughout the wake. We were truly touched by your kindness and generosity.

We wish to express our sincere appreciation to the medical and nursing staff of A&E and Ward 41 at Altnagelvin Hospital who cared for Laura during her final days, and to Fr Michael Canny for attending to Laura while she was in hospital.

We also thank Laura’s carers over the past 20 years from Strabane & District Caring Services for their love, dedication and support in helping us care for Laura at home. To the doctors, nurses and staff at Family Practice, and the staff of Glenside ATC, thank you for your kindness, care and support throughout Laura’s life.

We are especially grateful to Fr Séan O’Donnell for celebrating such a beautiful and comforting Requiem Mass; to Gerard Bradley and Ruth Corey for the beautiful music and singing; and to Jude and the staff at Quigley’s Funeral Home for their professionalism, kindness and compassionate care throughout.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement conveys our family’s heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to all who offered kindness, help and support during our devastating loss.

Laura’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 28th June at 11.30am in St Mary’s Church, Melmount.
