We, the son and daughter of the late Leo Donnelly, wish to express our sincere and heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us on our recent bereavement. We are grateful for the prayers and support of those who attended the removal of the remains or the Funeral Mass, followed the Mass on the webcam, sent sympathy cards, Mass cards or messages of condolence or who called with us afterwards; your kindness is greatly appreciated.

A special word of thanks is extended to all those who looked after Leo at home, to Marie and Mona for their friendship and care over the years and to the carers from Southern Trust Domiciliary Care for their kindness and support in recent months. We owe you a profound debt of gratitude. We particularly appreciate the kindness and care given to Leo by the doctors and staff of Ward 4 South, Craigavon Area Hospital; we could never thank you enough.

Sincere thanks also to the staff of Parkview Surgery for the care and attention given to Leo over the years and particularly during the last few months of his life and to the staff of MediCare, Newell Road and Dolan’s Pharmacy, Irish Street for their unwavering kindness and assistance. We extend our thanks to Marie and the other staff of the Mid-Ulster morning call service who provided Leo with great companionship and support.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the staff of St. Ciaran’s College, Ballygawley, St Patrick’s Academy, Dungannon and St Mary’s University College, Belfast; your continuing kindness and support mean a lot to us.

We also extend our thanks to Dean Kevin Donaghy for the very fitting and dignified Funeral Mass and to all who were involved in the Mass including the sacristan, the readers and the eucharistic minister. We are particularly grateful for the beautiful and prayerful music provided by Grainne Maxwell.

Sincere thanks to Patrick Quinn, Funeral Director, for the caring, sympathetic and professional manner in which he carried out the funeral arrangements and to the gravediggers for helping to prepare Leo’s final resting place.

Finally, a word of thanks is extended to the staff of The Gables, Carland, for providing the excellent funeral lunch.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, we trust that this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a token of our sincere appreciation. Leo’s month’s mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Dungannon on Saturday 2nd July at 10am.

Joseph and Majella Donnelly, Dungannon.
