Leona McMONAGLE
Jade, the daughter of Leona McMonagle and the O’Hara family, Killylane Road, Eglinton, would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has helped us as we mourn her loss.
In particular, we would like to thank the emergency services who attended Leona when she was unwell, and to the medical team in Altnagelvin Hospital and Eglinton Medical Practice and pharmacy who have provided assistance over the past months.
Thank you to our wonderful neighbours for all your help and support practically which was carried out with such kindness.
We would like to thank W J O’Brien & Son funeral directors, Eglinton, for their professional and caring way in which they dealt with the funeral arrangements.
Thanks to our parish priest Father McDermott for the beautiful requiem mass. Thanks also to Father Canny, who attended Leona in hospital. To Brian McCloskey our Sacristan, and to the team who provided the lovely music.
To all who attended the wake and provided refreshments and Cassidy’s who provided excellent service after the mass- thank you.
We are indebted to all those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes, to assist with the provision of tea, parking, lighting and storage- thank you for looking after everyone.
For the many phone calls, texts, flowers, Mass cards and words of condolence - Thank you, this meant a great deal to us all.
St Mary’s GAC, Faughanvale, thank you for your invaluable assistance in so many ways, and for the touching guard of honour.
To everyone who reached out to us during this time of loss we are grateful for the continued support.
You are welcome to attend the months mind mass which will be celebrated in St Mary’s Star of the Sea Church, Faughanvale, on Saturday 3rd February 2024 at 5pm.
