Barney, Christine, Martina, Bernadette, Eamon, Bernard (Barney)and the entire family circle of the lateMae R.I.P. wish to express their sincere thanks to all those who sympathised with them in their recent bereavement.

Sincere appreciation to the Doctors, nurses and staff of Garvagh Health Centre and Shields Pharmacies for their continuous care during Mae’s life. Also the Social Workers, OT's, and Physio's from the Northern Trust who provided care and support to Mae in recent months.

The family greatly appreciate the care and kindness shown to Mae from the ambulance crew, staff in the Emergency Department in Causeway Hospital and the Doctors, nurses and staff in Ward 25 of Altnagelvin Hospital who cared for Mae throughout her short illness and who showed respect and support to the family at this sorrowful time.

Pastoral care was provided to Mae by Fr. Sean McGuigan in her home and by Fr. Michael Canny during her time as a patient in Altnagelvin Hospital which brought great comfort to Mae and the family. A special thanks to Fr Chris McDermott for his spiritual support, guidance, pastoral care and for celebrating the Requiem Mass.

Thanks to the House of Prayer Choir for the beautiful music; the church sacristan, Devlin Media for live streaming the Mass, Swatragh GAC for use of their facilities and Arbutus Catering for providing refreshments after the funeral, and David McFetridge who prepared the grave.

The family wish to thank BP McKeefry who provided parking facilities during the wake; to their friends who helped with car parking and Glenshane Marquees for providing the Marquee at the family home.

The family wish to especially thank the kind relatives, friends, neighbours and members of the wider community who helped them during this difficult time. A special mention to Chloe, Mary Frances and Nuala who gave so much of their time during the wake.

Thanks to those who messaged, sent cards, sent donations and those who gathered along the route to the Church and attended the funeral, we are truly grateful.

The family are deeply grateful for all who showed affection to Mae over the years. Her good neighbours and friends; especially those from the Sacred Heart House of Prayer who had a special place in her heart.

Finally, the family wish to give their inexpressible gratitude to McKiernan & Sons who overwhelmed the family with their compassion, professionalism and the dedicated manner in which they carried out all aspects of the funeral arrangements. They are truly grateful for the respect and personal attention shown to them.

The Holy sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for the intentions of all.

The month mind Mass for Mae will be celebrated on Friday 3rd July 2026 at 7:30pm in St. Mary’s Church, Craigavole.
