The death has occurred of:
Mai FRIEL (née Mackey (Rathdrum, Wicklow))
Mai Friel (nee Mackey) 24th May 2026 peacefully at her home, beloved wife of Tom, dear sister of Noreen and the late Nancy, Gerry and Noel and a much loved aunt and great-aunt. Deeply loved and will be sadly missed by all her family including her nieces and nephews in Derry and Wicklow.
Mai will be reposing in her home, 9 Belmont Drive, on Tuesday from 5 pm. She will be removed from there on Wednesday at 5.30 pm to repose overnight in St Patrick's Church, Pennyburn. Requiem Mass will be celebrated there on Thursday at 10 o’clock. Interment afterwards in the City cemetery. The Mass can be viewed live on the church's website or via the link below.
