Acknowledgment / Months Mind

The family of the late Mairead Doherty would like to thank everyone who sympathised with us during our recent sad bereavement. To all who called to the wake, sent Mass and sympathy cards, and attended the funeral, your kind words of comfort and support were gratefully received and very much appreciated.

Thanks to the Emergency Services for their sensitive care at the scene of the road traffic accident and afterwards. A special word of thanks is given to the ICU staff from Altnagelvin Hospital, who facilitated a visit by Mairead’s partner Ciaran, from his hospital bed to her wake, to allow him to say a final farewell. An exceptional undertaking that provided him with untold comfort.

Thanks to Father Michael Canny for his consoling homily, and Aine, Robert and Fidelma for enhancing Requiem Mass so beautifully with their music and hymns.

Thank you to the many local caterers and everyone else who provided food and refreshments during the wake.

Our appreciation is offered to Sean Carr and Abbey Funeral Services, who carried out the funeral arrangements in such a helpful, dignified and caring way.

It is impossible to thank everyone individually but hopefully this acknowledgement will be accepted by Mairead’s many friends, extended family and neighbours, as a token of our sincere appreciation and heartfelt gratitude.

Mairead’s Month's Mind Mass will be celebrated on Sunday 17th September at Long Tower Church, at 10 am.

Have you considered?
