The family of the late Mairead Connolly would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Mairead was a widely respected lady, and dearly loved wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, sister, sister in law, aunt and friend.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass cards, sympathy cards, flowers or donations in lieu, and to those who left messages online or via social media.

Thank you to those who called to the wake house, helped, brought food and to those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the funeral Mass.

Thanks to St. Conor’s Staff and pupils for Guard of Honour.

Sincere thanks to all our relatives, neighbours and friends who helped us in so many ways throughout this difficult time.

A special word of thanks to Father Seán Mulligan CC for his spiritual support and the comforting requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and our singer Louise Kirwan and Marie Campbell the organist who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger Tommy for preparing Mairead’s final resting place. Thank you also to Roisin of Nettles & Petals for the beautiful floral tributes and to the St. Patrick’s Hall ladies for the very welcome refreshments after the funeral.

And finally, we send our grateful thanks to all the medical professionals with whom Mairead came in to contact, especially Dr Harte, Grange Family Practice and the community nursing teams, we are very grateful for all your help with her care.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Mairead is loved and missed everyday, may her gentle, generous, kind soul be granted peace and eternal rest. Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Lawrence’s Church, Fintona on Saturday 27th April at 6pm. Our Lady pray for her.
