In loving memory of a dear partner, mammy and nanna who passed away on 8th June 2024.
We missed you today but that's nothing new
we missed you a million times yesterday too
We picked up the phone to tell you the news
then realised again we can't phone you.
We saw your bright smile at least 20 times
and then we remember it's all in our minds
We drive without presence the world feels surreal
and on comes your song and this doesn't seem real.
We missed you today but we miss you a lot
It's helpful to miss you it's all that we've got
We wish that we could pull you down here for a while
we fear we'll forget the shape of your smile.
We miss you today and we'll miss you tomorrow
there seems to be no coming end to this sorrow
We try to go on as we know that you care
We know that you're willing us on from up there.
We miss you today but we're trying to find
a way to move on but not leave you behind
a way to forge on with the love that we had
a way to recall and simply feel glad.

Majella will be remembered at a mass on Tuesday 9th June at 7:30pm in St. Mary's Chapel, Creggan.
