The death has occurred of:
Malachy HAUGHEY
The family of the late Malachy Haughey (Keady & Granemore) have requested this acknowledgement is posted in appreciation and thanks to the many individuals who supported them during their recent sad bereavement. To all our family friends and kind neighbours who rallied at the time of Malachy's sudden death and whose help and support is still ongoing.
We thank all those who visited the wake and funeral, brought masscards and gifts of food, texted, messaged or posted online their expressions of sympathy. We thank also the ladies who made and served the tea over the busy days and to the neighbours who not only made parking available at their homes but also opened a field to further assist it.
Sincere thanks to the priests of Keady and Cill Chluana Parishes especially Canon Sean ONeill and Fr Greg Carvill who both provided immense pastoral care to us all and for jointly celebrating a very fitting funeral mass. The funeral mass was greatly enhanced by the music provided by Sinead Murphy and Patricia Hagan and of course Malachys nephew Raymond McCone who piped him from his home and to his final resting place.
We thank the Out of Hours Team who attended Malachy for their sensitivity and compassion.
It would be remiss of us not to mention the efforts of Malachys nephews and some friends who dug his grave in Granemore under the watchful supervision of Edmund and Seamus.
We also thank everyone who donated to Cill Chluana Rosary Group in lieu of flowers.
Finally to Mone funeral Directors for the complete and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements and the Granemore GFC who permitted the use of their facilities for the post burial refreshments kindly provided by Mary B Mone catering services.
At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.
Malachys month mind mass will be held in St Mary's church Granemore on Saturday 16th August at 7:30pm.
