The death has occurred of:
Malachy STARRS
We the family of the late Malachy Starrs, would like to extend our deepest appreciation for the support shown by everyone who sympathised with us on our loss. Malachy was a much loved husband, father, father in law, grandfather and brother to his family along with being a dear friend to many whom he is missed by. Sincere thanks to those who cared for Malachy, the staff of the South West Acute Hospital and especially the staff of the Omagh Palliative Care unit, who’s support and kindness shown to Malachy was above and beyond. Thanks also to the Care for Cancer team based in Omagh for their support also.
To all those who visited our home during the wake from near and far, we are grateful for you coming, thanks to those who sent Mass, Sympathy cards and flowers. Special thanks to those who assisted with the wake through parking help, preparing tea and food.
Sincerest thanks to Father McElhennon for administering the last sacrament. To Father Hassan whose visits to Malachy were greatly appreciated and for a beautiful requiem service, assisted by Canon McKenna (Trillick) . To Jay Maguire and staff whose professional and kind manner helped support us through the difficult time of funeral arrangements and ceremony. To those who helped with the mass through singing, floral arrangements, readings and Eucharist. To the gravediggers for preparing Malachy’s final resting place. Thanks to Drumragh GFC for the use of the club rooms and Mark McBride for refreshments provided after the service.
As it is impossible to name all specifically, please take this as acknowledgment of our gratitude.
Malachy’s month mind mass will take place on Monday 5th May, 7:30pm at Sacred Heart Church, Omagh. May he rest in peace.
