The death has occurred of:
Margaret Ann (Nancy) McMAHON
Died 18th June 2025
We - the family of the late Nancy McMahon - would like to express sincere appreciation to all who offered us such valued help and support following the recent, sad death of our beloved Mother.
We are deeply grateful to Mummy’s many kind neighbours and friends who offered so much practical help throughout her wake. We thank all who took time to visit the home during those days and who brought or sent Mass bouquets, Sympathy cards and other expressions of condolence.
We acknowledge all who attended and shared in Mummy’s Funeral Mass. We are especially grateful to Bishop John McAreavey, Bishop Michael Morrissey (Geraldton, Western Australia), Fr Conor McConville and Deacon Michael Rooney for their presence with us at the funeral. We thank Mrs Mairead Duddy, and her daughter Maeve, for the beautiful sacred music throughout the Mass.
We deeply appreciate the guidance and support of Patricia and all at Heaney-Keenan Funeral Directors, who carried out the funeral arrangements with great dignity and respect.
Mindful of the extended period of illness which preceded Mummy’s death, we wish to thank those who contributed to her care at various levels: Dr Dillon & Associates and Sr Jean Dawson (Banbridge Group Surgery); Banbridge District Nursing & Multidisciplinary Team; the Macmillan & Marie Curie palliative care teams; the staff of Kingdom Healthcare, Lurgan; the oncology teams at Craigavon Area & Belfast City Hospitals; and the staff and community of the Hospice at St John’s House, Newry. We are deeply grateful to them all and thank them for their professionalism and attentiveness.
We thank, too, her neighbours, relatives and good friends for their precious support to Mummy - and to ourselves as a family - throughout the experience of her final illness.
We would be pleased if you would accept this acknowledgement as an expression of our very sincere thanks to everyone.
You will be remembered in our prayers and in the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.
