Margaret Porter (née Smyth)
It is with deep sorrow and great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Porter née Smyth, peacefully at home on 2nd May 2025.
Late of 15 Mount Pleasant. May she rest in peace.
Beloved wife of the late Danny. Devoted mother of Martina, Shauna, Joe and John. Dearest mother-in-law of Sean, Donna and Sinead. Loving granny of Emma-Joe, Orla, Aoife, Conor, Oisín, Ciara, Niamh and Fionn. Precious great-granny of Fíadh, Fáela and the late Dáire. A much loved sister to all of her brothers and sisters. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by all of her wider family circle, friends and neighbours.
Margaret’s remains will be reposing at her late home, 15 Mount Pleasant, from 2pm this afternoon, Friday 2nd May. Funeral leaving from there on Sunday 4th May at 11:30am for 12:15pm Requiem Mass in Our Lady Of Lourdes Church, Steelstown. Burial will take place immediately afterwards in the City Cemetery.
Wake house will be private from 10pm until
11:30am.
