A very special word of thanks and appreciation to Father Declan Boland, PP Strabane who led us in the celebration of the Funeral Mass, to Father Eugune Boland who concelebrated and to Father Frank O’Hagan who attended Margaret in her final days in hospital, your attendance was much appreciated. Thank you also to the ladies who provided the very welcome refreshments in the Church Hall after the burial.
Thank you to Liam McFeely for his lovely music and singing during the Mass.
To WJ O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors who carried out the funeral arrangements in a dignified and respectful manner.
To the Staff of Ward 40, Altnagelvin Hospital who were exemplary in their attendance to Margaret in her final days and the management and staff of Longfield Care Home, where Margaret spent the last 20 years and was always made to feel so much part of the Longfield family, we will be forever indebted to you all.
Thank you to Monsignor Andy Dolan and all the kind relatives, friends and neighbours who attended the wake, brought donations, sent flowers, cards and attended the funeral, for your compassion and support. The family were overwhelmed by the number of people who travelled quite a distance to be with us on this sad occasion.
Although impossible to individually thank all those whose kindness and thoughtfulness has brought us such comfort at this time the family trust this will be accepted by all with their heartfelt thanks. The Holy Sacrifice of Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Margaret’s Month Mind Mass will be held in St Aidan’s Church, Magillian on Wednesday 23 August at 7.30pm.
May the Sacred Heart of Jesus have mercy on her soul.
