The death has occurred of:
Margaret Moohan (née McCann)
The family of the late Margaret Moohan, 21 Ardvarney Road, Ederney (and formerly of Edendork, Co.Tyrone) wish to express our heartfelt thanks and a sincere appreciation for all who supported and sympathised with us following Margaret’s death.
Many thanks to everyone who attended the wake and funeral, with many having travelled long distances, to pay their respects to the family along with those who kindly phoned, sent messages, cards and had conversations at the time and since recalling Margaret’s life. The thoughtfulness and generosity of our extended family, neighbours and friends have been a great comfort. A special word of thanks to our neighbour, Fr Frank McManus PP, for his very considered homily and appropriate funeral mass as well as spiritual care for Margaret at home in recent years and in hospital. We thank Eleanor Farry, singer, accompanied by Vincie Carr for the beautiful musical contribution they provided during the funeral as well. Thank you to Eugene Monaghan for assisting Fr McManus during the wake and burial.
We are very thankful for the assistance, care and abundance of kindness shown over many years to Margaret during her ill health at home by all of the Home Carers, Pharmacist Eugene McGrade, the District Nursing team as well as the Doctors and Staff of Irvinestown Health Centre. Our gratitude must be expressed to all the Nurses, Doctors and Support Staff especially those of Wards 2 and 3 at South West Acute Hospital, Enniskillen for their help during Margaret’s recent time there.
Thank you to Claude McKervey, Funeral Director, for all of his helpful guidance and professionalism with the funeral arrangements for Margaret. Our thanks to the gravedigger for preparing Mum’s final place of rest in Edenclaw as well as to St Joseph’s GAC, Ederney and Mahon’s Hotel for facilitating use of the club premises and providing refreshments respectively after the burial.
As we know it is impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept our appreciation in this acknowledgement as a token of our family’s gratitude for all the assistance given to Margaret, our Mum.
Our Mum will be very much missed every day – for each of us, she did her best, she tried so hard to stay with us but she is now at peace and laid to rest.
Margaret’s Month Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Joseph’s Church, Ederney on Sunday 15th September 2024 at 11am.
On behalf of her husband, Seamus and their children, Mairéad, Seán, Stephen, Andrew and Aideen; sons-in-law and daughters-in-law and grandchildren
