We the family of the late Maria Fearon wish to thank everyone who carried us through the most heart-breaking days that followed her death on 4th February 2025.

To those who offered support, both practical and emotional; those who attended her wake or funeral; offered kind words or unseen actions to make her passing less painful, we thank you.

To Father Donal whose spiritual care, guidance and humour added to the quality of Maria’s life and brought her peace in her final year, we thank you.

We also thank Father Donal for officiating at her Funeral Mass, succinctly expressing the essence of the love, kindness, faith and humour that epitomised her throughout her 92 years.

Special thanks also to Cliona Cowan for her exquisite singing which added so much to Maria’s final sacrament. It will comfort us always.

Thank you to Patricia and her team at Heaney’s Funeral Directors for treating Maria’s remains with such dignity and respect.

And thank you to Brian Nugent the grave digger, whose assurance that he would treat Maria’s remains as though they were those of his own mother brought us great solace.

We Maria’s family were truly blessed to have had her in our lives for so long and we are truly grateful. We have wonderful memories of her that will stay in our hearts forever; but it was time to let her go, as unfortunately, in her later years, Maria had extended periods of ill health.

To all those who cared for her in any way and at any time, to ease her suffering, enhance her life, or ease her parting, we thank you.
To all the Doctors, Nurses, AHPs, Social Care Teams, Ambulance and Paramedic staff, Pharmacists, Domestic and Administrative staff, please accept our sincere thanks.

To those who called to keep her in craic, she appreciated your visits so much. We can’t mention all of you by name, but we have to mention Betty- thank you for being a friend X.

Maria’s Months Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Mary’s Church Chapel at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 4th March 2025.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered each First Friday for all -mentioned herein or inadvertently omitted- who enriched Maria’s life in any way.

We know that she has been reunited with her beloved husband Joe and we thank God for that.

O Sacred heart of Jesus I Place All My Trust in Thee.

Our Lady of Lourdes Pray for her.

Have you considered?
