Maria Mackey (nee McGinn) Armagh (formerly Keady) Died 23rd July 2025.
The family of Maria have requested this acknowledgement is posted in appreciation and thanks. Maria's husband Joe, daughter Yasmin, son Mark and the entire family circle wish to thank all those who supported and sympathised with them on the loss of a much loved wife, mummy, Nanny, sister and friend to many people. We thank all those who visited the wake house and attended the funeral and cremation, brought masscards and gifts of food.We thank also those who telephoned, messaged, posted online their expressions of sympathy and those who wrote lovely letters, these have all been a great source of comfort to us.We thank the Medical and Nursing staff of Craigavon area hospital who looked after mummy during her recent illness and especially the staff of 2 North.
No words seem adequate to express the strength and pastoral care Maria and us as a family received from not only the priests of Armagh and keady parishes but also the hospital chaplaincy, we thank especially Rev Aidan McCann who celebrated a very fitting funeral mass and infact it seemed like he'd known mum for years. Thanks also to the Sacriston team from keady parish and to Catherine and Dermot who provided the beautiful music to enhance the celebration of the mass. We acknowledge also the wonderful staff of Lakelands Crematorium where we were facilitated in giving mum the most personal and emotional reflection of her life possible. Finally to Bridget and team from Mone funeral Directors for the complete, compassionate and professional handling of all the funeral arrangements.
At the risk of failing to mention someone we trust this acknowledgement will be accepted by all as a sincere token of our appreciation.
Maria's month mind mass will be held in St Patrick’s Church Keady on Monday 25th August at 7pm.
