We the husband, son, daughter, mother, brothers, sisters and extended family circle wish to express our sincere gratitude to those who have sympathised with us in our recent sad loss of Marian Canavan on 15th July 2025.

First of all, we would like to thank everyone who called to the wake, brought cards, telephoned, sent letters, left gifts, cooked meals and engaged through social media. Your kind words have brought a great comfort and solace to us throughout this difficult loss.

We convey our appreciation to both Fr. Lawrence Boyle, who lead such a respectful, moving and meaningful mass for Marian. His words were heartfelt and uplifting and his message certainly touched our spirits.
Also with thanks to Fr. Noel Conlon (Iniskeen) who provided spiritual guidance to us and Marian throughout her illness and before her passing.
We also thank the Sacristan, Eucharistic Ministers and Acolytes.

To our musicians, Plunkett McGartland, Margaret Anne Conlon, Siobhán & Meadhbh Sweeney, we thank you for the beautiful music which touched us so deeply. Your contribution to the Requiem Mass was incredibly special.

Our deepest gratitude goes to those who cared for Marian throughout her illness - Dr Johnathan McAleese, Dr Brian Óg Kearney, all nurses and staff from Laurel House, Co. Antrim. And also to, Eilis McGill NI Hospice and Team,
Cookstown District Nurses and Ann’s Carers - we thank you for your care and compassion shown to Marian - your support is something we are eternally grateful for.

Thank you to all the local schools who displayed a guard of honour for Marian’s Requiem Mass, in particular, Gaelscoil Eoghain, who held such a special place in Marian’s heart. Thanks also to, Cookstown Community Centre, who aided us with supplies throughout the wake.

Thank you to Colleén, Michael and the team at Niall A. Loughran’s Funeral Directors for their professional, dignified and compassionate funeral arrangements. And also to Mid Ulster (Cookstown) Council who prepared Marian’s final resting place. Many thanks also to Stephen Mallon for the beautiful variety of flowers, bouquets, and wreaths.

We also thank Michelle Coey, Coey Creations, for the precious photo frames, personalised candles and booklets for Marian’s Requiem mass.

Thank you to Josie Brown for the refreshments after the funeral and to our close friends and family who helped in the kitchen throughout the wake.

We would also like to add a special thanks to our family circle and close friends for their help, love and kindness to us and Marian not only throughout her illness but throughout this last month.

We trust this acknowledgement will be accepted as a token of our sincere gratitude.
Go raibh míle maith agaibh.
