Marie GREEN (née Jordan)

The family of the late Marie Green, formerly of 109 Woodbrook, Derry, (who died on 26th August 2023) would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us through our recent sad bereavement. Marie was a dearly loved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend.

We would like to acknowledge all those who paid their respects in any way. Thank you to those who sent Mass or sympathy cards or flowers and to those who left messages by text or via social media.

Thank you to those who called to the wake and who joined us at the Mass. Sincere thanks to all our relatives, friends and neighbours who helped us in so many ways, to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Canny for the very comforting Requiem Mass and Father Farren for his spiritual support at Altnagelvin hospital. Thanks also to Louise and the staff in Ward 43 who went above and beyond to make our mum as comfortable as possible in her final hours with us.

We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan at St. Marys Church, Ardmore and everyone who took part in the Liturgy and singers Lauren & Beth, “Twos Harmony”, along with Sharon Nixon who provided the beautiful music.

Thank you to W J O’Brien & Son Funeral Directors, Eglinton, for the solemn and professional way the funeral arrangements were carried out. Our thanks also to Bishops Gate Hotel for the provision and very welcome refreshments etc after the funeral.

And finally, it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this recognition as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude, everyone’s support has not gone unnoticed. Thank You.

Marie is forever loved and sadly missed, may her gentle, generous soul be granted eternal rest in Heaven.

Her Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Patricks Church, Pennyburn, at 6pm on Saturday 23rd September.
