The death has occurred of:
Martin Carvill
The month’s mind of Martin Carvill (Curly) will be celebrated on Sunday, 17th August
2025 at 9.00am Requiem Mass, at Our Lady of Lourdes Grange Kilkeel.
We, the family of the late Martin Carvill, would like to offer our heartfelt thanks to all
those who have sympathised with us on the heartbreaking loss of our amazing Dad. The
love and support shown to our family by relatives, friends, dads former colleagues, and
all those who visited the house, shared fond memories, attended the Requiem Mass
and burial, sent floral tributes, Mass cards or donated to life and time, who provided
refreshments, helped during the wake, or travelled long distances to be with us, your
kindness has meant the world to us and brought great comfort during this time.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the medical staff and consultants
who looked after Martin throughout his illness including all at Kilkeel Primary care
centre, Daisy Hill Hospital, to the staff at Craigavon Hospital and Belfast City Hospital
Cancer Centre for your care during Dads visits. To the palliative care nurses who
showed such dedication and compassion to Dad your care and energy you brought
meant so much to him, and to us. We are forever grateful for your kindness and
support, and for the love you shared with Dad. Our sincere thanks also to the amazing
work of Life and Time who’s dedication and devotion in always ensuring Dad was kept
as comfortable in the final months and days of his life was and will always be
remembered and appreciated
Thank you to Fr. Sean Dillon, for his spiritual support, pastoral care and the beautiful
requiem mass. Thank you to Matthew McAstocker for the wonderful Uilleann pipes to
Niamh Mc Dowell for the beautiful music and singing at the funeral and all who
participated in Dads funeral mass, also thanks to Kelly Mc Cabe for the beautiful flowers
and to all who attended the funeral in person or online this was much appreciated.
Thank you to Nicky Doran, Paul Doran (Nicholas Doran Funeral Directors) for their
guidance, support and kindness to us and the dignified and professional manner in
which they conducted Dads funeral arrangements.
To the staff of the Diamonds Warrenpoint for the funeral lunch, our sincere gratitude to
you all, and all associated with Atticall GAC for the venue and friendly reception for all
afterwards.
As it would not be possible to thank everyone individually, please accept this as a token
of our appreciation for all you have done for our family. The holy sacrifice of mass will
be offered for your intentions.
Finally, to a deeply loved Father, Husband, Granda, Great Granda, Brother, Uncle,
Father-in-Law and Friend, we take some comfort in knowing that you are reunited with
Mum. You were the best Dad to us, and we will love you forever.
