Died 30th June 2026.
The family of Tina Dillon would like to express our deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for, and supported us during our recent sad bereavement. Mother of Blake (Smyth), mother-in-law to Anne, and dear friend to Janet and Denise.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake at our home, who brought food and refreshments and to those who gave so generously of their time to serve tea or help in any way. Thanks to those who helped us organise the home for the wake and helped make arrangements for the funeral. Thanks to St Patrick’s Church for the use of the car park and Stewartstown Harps GFC for all their help. Our thanks to those who telephoned, messaged, sent Mass or Sympathy cards or sent flowers. Thank you to all those who lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass.
A special word of thanks to Fr McCallion for his very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan in St Mary’s Stewartstown. Thanks to Margaret Ann and Patrick Slevin for the beautiful music at the funeral mass which added so much to the service. Thanks also to our friend Peter Reilly (Cabin Flowers) for the beautiful floral tributes.
Thank you to M Dorman & Son funeral director for their assistance and to the gravedigger Gary for preparing Tina’s final resting place. Thanks to St Mary’s Hall for the use of their facilities and to Maura, Jennifer, Stacey and Sean for all their help. Thanks to Donna Marie (Superb Platters) for providing refreshments for after the burial.
And finally, we send our sincere thanks to the medical staff and carers who have cared for Tina throughout her battle with cancer. Special thanks to Dr Orla Fitzsimons (GP), the staff at Stewartstown Health Centre, Sadie McGeehan and the rest of the district nursing team, the oncologists and staff at the Belfast Cancer Centre and especially to the staff in Craigavon Area Hospital 1 East where Tina spent her final weeks.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our deepest gratitude.
