The death has occurred of:
Martin McCrory
Dromore Road, Omagh, formerly Roscavey, Beragh
Martin passed away peacefully on 28th July 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was a devoted husband to Joan, father to Seána, Martin, Barry, and Siobhán, father-in law to Seán, Kate, Saori, and Paul, grandfather to Sarah, Liam, Matt, Cara, and Aoife, loving brother, brother-in-law and a good friend to many. Dearly missed every day.
We, his family, wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all who sympathised with us, prayed for us and supported us during our recent sad bereavement.
Thank you to everyone who called to the wake house, sent cards and messages, attended the wake or funeral, or helped in so many thoughtful ways. We are especially grateful to family and friends who provided food and refreshments during the wake. Your kindness and generosity brought great comfort.
A special word of thanks to Father O’Dwyer for his support to Martin and our family throughout his illness, and for celebrating the Requiem Mass. We also thank Canon McGahan who concelebrated, and Father Hasson for his support and prayers. Our appreciation also to all who took part in the liturgy, especially our readers and musicians Damien Cullen and Sinéad Taggart, whose music added great comfort to the Mass.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the District Nurses, Palliative Care Team, Foyle Hospice, Rapid Response, Marie Curie, Three Spires Surgery (especially Dr Bradley and Dr McGarvey), Kevin Kelly and staff at Kelly’s Chemist, Care for Cancer and the North West Cancer Centre, whose care and compassion supported Martin and our family during his illness.
We sincerely thank Roscavey Primary School and Sacred Heart College for their Guards of Honour; Judith at Floral Temptations for the beautiful flowers; Paudge Quinn, Funeral Director, for his dignified support and professionalism; the gravediggers who prepared Martin’s final resting place; and Conor McAleer for the use of his car park.
We will be forever grateful to our extended family and friends for their unwavering support throughout Martin’s illness and during the wake.
As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgment as a token of our heartfelt gratitude. The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass will be offered for your intentions.
Martin’s Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Matthew’s Church, Garvaghey, on Sunday 7th September at 11.00am.
Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts.
St Martin, pray for him.
