Acknowledgement.
Martin McGovern, Dromore, Co Tyrone.
Died 8th August 2025.

Martin passed away peacefully at home on the 8th August. He was a devoted family man, much-loved father of Barry, Martin, Michael and Gary, devoted grandfather to his 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Husband of Marian. Dearly loved brother, brother in law, uncle and friend. We, his family wish to express our sincere appreciation and heartfelt thanks to all those who sympathised, prayed for and supported us through our recent sad bereavement.

Our thanks to those who sent Mass or Sympathy cards, messages, flowers or donations in lieu, lined the funeral route or who joined us at the Requiem Mass.

We are blessed to have had the love and support of our family, friends and neighbours, throughout this difficult time, this has helped us in so many ways to grieve as a family.

A special word of thanks to Father Denis Dolan PE for his spiritual support and the very comforting Requiem Mass. We convey our appreciation also to the Sacristan Patricia and everyone who took part in the Liturgy, especially our readers, and musicians James McShane and Joan who provided the beautiful reverent and uplifting music.

Thank you to McAtee Funeral Directors for the dignified and professional manner, in which the funeral arrangements were carried out and to the gravedigger for preparing Martin’s final resting place. Our thanks also to The Village Inn for the most welcome refreshments after the burial.

And finally, we send our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to all the medical professionals with whom Martin came into contact, we are very grateful for the kindness and respect shown to him.

As it would be impossible to thank everyone individually, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s deepest gratitude.

Martin is loved and missed every day. May his gentle, kind, generous soul be granted peace and eternal rest. His Month’s Mind Mass will be celebrated in St Davog’s Church, Dromore on Friday 5th September at 7.30pm. Our Lady pray for him.
