It is with heavy hearts that the family of the late Mary Burns wish to express their sincere thanks to all who have supported us in our recent sudden bereavement. Thank you to everyone who attended her wake, brought gifts of food, sent us text messages, messages online, telephone calls, mass and sympathy cards and travelled long distances. To our kind friends and neighbours who sat up at her wake and assisted with traffic, lined the funeral route, and joined us for her funeral mass and burial, your kindness will not be forgotten. A special word of thanks to the Devenish Practice and Cathcart Pharmacy staff who looked after Mum for so many years. We sincerely thank the emergency services for their rapid response and for the dignified care they provided to Mum. Thank you to Father Cathal Deery for visiting us during the wake and providing spiritual support to us as a family. Also, for celebrating the beautiful and very fitting funeral mass, to Maria Cameron for her beautiful singing and music, and to the Eucharistic Ministers. To the funeral director Leanne McGovern and her staff for the compassionate, dignified, and professional way in which they supported us and managed the funeral arrangements. Thank you to the grave diggers at Boho Cemetery. Grateful thanks to Boho Community Association for providing refreshments after the funeral. As it would be impossible to thank everyone, please accept this acknowledgement as a gesture of our family’s gratitude to all who helped and supported us at this sad and difficult time. The holy sacrifice of mass will be offered for your intentions.
Mum’s month mind mass will be celebrated in St Patrick’s Church, Derrygonnelly on Sunday 7th January 2024 at 11.30am.
Mum was greatly loved and will be missed every day. Heaven is now her home.
